Barely there: Sacha Parkinson decided to celebrate her 19th birthday in control pants, a sheer shirt and embroided tights

Coronation Street actress Sacha Parkinson has grabbed attention on screen for her lesbian love scenes and she continued to steal the limelight last night in a pair of control pants and sheer tights.

She was celebrating her 19th birthday in Manchester and seemed to have forgotten her skirt, as well as her best friend Brooke Vincent.

The star, who plays Sian Powers in the soap, showed up at Sakura Bar in nothing more than a sheer black shirt thrown over the underwear and tights embroidered with red roses.

But her co-star and on-screen lesbian lover Brooke Vincent, who plays Sophie Webster, was nowhere to be seen outside the event.

Glamour model Rhian Sugden came along for the celebration though and kept warm in a pair of blue jeans.

But the cold winter weather seemed to be the last thing on Sacha’s mind when choosing her outfit and didn’t even step out in a coat.

Earlier this week Sacha and Brooke turned up at the TRIC Awards in London arm in arm and provocatively posed for photographers as they held onto their show’s award for Soap Of The Year.

And in a revealing interview with Heat magazine about their relationship, Sacha said: ‘We just come as a pair now.

'We tell each other we love each other all the time. I think we’re really starting to become our characters.’

The actresses made history as the street’s first female gay couple and insisted that they’ll leave the soap if producers break up their character’s relationship.

Brooke declared: ‘If they split us up, I’d leave. It’s made too much impact for them to break it up.’

Brooke, who has been on the long-running soap since she was just 11, added: ‘It’s mad when you realise how many people have come out because of the storyline.

‘So many people have come up to us and said, ‘Thank you. Without this, I wouldn’t have been able to come out to my parents or have people accept me.’
